Your AI Employee Just Broke Into Another Company.

What do you do?

Amber here!

This one’s a shorter episode, but it’s an important one!

Here is the backstory - OpenAI was testing an AI model in a sandbox, a contained environment, standard practice before anything goes public. Except this time, the agent broke out. It got onto the internet, found its way into another company’s systems, and started digging for answers to whatever it was stuck on.

Nobody told it to do that.

Khaïry introduced this news to me and we take some time unpacking why that matters, and where it leaves the rest of us who aren’t running AI labs but are absolutely running businesses with these tools.

We covered:
Why “it only went into another AI company” is the wrong thing to feel relieved about
The real reason security wasn’t built for this and how the rules have changed
What “keep a human in the loop” actually looks like day to day in our businesses, not just in theory
The permissions question every business owner needs to be asking their AI platforms right now
Whether this makes AI dangerous, or just new

The businesses that win this next stretch are the ones paying attention.

I am glad you are here paying attention.

And, of course, we are excited to hear what you think.

— Amber & Khaïry
